Marvo Scorpion K602 Gaming Keyboard

The computer Keyboard, something you see everyday and almost everywhere. You use it to interact with you computer to make it do what you want in conjunction with your mouse. For the everyday person this is where it stops. But for a different Breed of human, known as the PC gamer, the keyboard is more than just something for you to do spreadsheets or type really shallow inspirational quotes that doesn’t relate to the picture you posted. For the Gamer, the keyboard is a weapon, part of their arsenal alongside an equally important tool, the mouse ( but this is a story for another time).

For gaming purposes, a regular keyboard will not do, oh no, you need something that will give you an edge. But as always high end Pro level gaming equipment doesn’t come cheap. But those wonderful mad geniuses at Marvo has done it again and brings you a budget solution which is actually quite good. Yes it is from the same people that brought you the Scorpion Mic-03 that I reviewed and they seem to have a thing for Scorpions..I wonder why?

Anyhoo enter the Marvo K602, a membrane keyboard. What is a membrane keyboard you ask? Well, Membrane keyboards has a thin membrane that presses on a circuit layer, that registers the key pressed. They are lighter, generally more portable, cheaper, and quieter than their mechanical counterparts. Also mechanical keyboard has spring-loaded switches instead.

According to the packaging, each button on the K602 can be pressed TEN MILLION TIMES. Now I don’t know about you but I’m not sure if iI’ll be alive long enough to actually use the keyboard until I hit the keys TEN MILLION TIMES limit. It is an all plastic build, but it is solid enough and very lightweight.

Gaming on the Keyboard is pretty sweet. The keys response time is fast and dying in an intense mission on a game like Warframe or Star trek Online from a failed key response did not happen at all. Now, it wouldn’t be a gaming keyboard if it did have RGB lights. So if you’ve ever fantasized about having disco lights on your computing accessories, then worry not, you have it here. There are not many in the ways of how you can customize the lights like on more expensive Gaming keyboards. You get only pulsing or constantly on modes. That’s it
