Welcome back to Sarang Maksiat. And for today's review it's more Star Trek goodness, coz I love ST and well also it was the only things readily available on my shelf that I could grab (teehee).

Today's review are 2 things from the same line. They are from a company called Running Press and they are the Tricorder and Borg Cube. 

Tricorder

First let's talk about the tricorder. It's of plastic construction and does its best to show the details of the TV prop. It's not 1/1 scale though. It's more like 1/3 or 1/4, but it still a nice little thing to hold. It doesn't feel overly flimsy despite being made of plastic. 

What comes in the box, the tricorder itself, sticker sheet for extra details, a booklet detailing the history of the tricorder and instructions.

 Opening up the tricorder you'll be treated to details that are close enough tot he TV prop (minus working buttons) . It even has that satisfying *craaaaacccckkkk* sound when you flip open the tricorder , at which time you'll be treated to blinky LED lights and sounds simulating the sound from the show. 

 

  

Borg Cube

Next up in this double review is the Borg Cube. 

Looks pretty tiny right? Well if I were to get a USS Enterprise D that would scale well with this cube it'll need to be the size of a a Tic Tac. Contents of the box is pretty much similar to the Tricorder with a booklet about the cube and an instruction shee. It also comes with a cute little display stand.

And just like the Tricorder, the cube also has lights and sounds. It'll cycle through some of the more promiment SFX from the show and also the famous Borg like "Resistance is Futile". Only thing about the cube is once you've seen it from one side you've pretty much see all sides of it.

Overall both of these things are nice to have if you're a Star Trek fan on a budget. Definitely recommend getting them.
