SUPERMAN - Kal - El, Clark Kent, The Man of Steel, The Man of Tomorrow, Last son of Krypton etc Whatever you call him, one thing for sure he is one of if not the most iconic super hero to have ever existed. He has many imitators with similar origin stories and powers. But it all always comes back to the boyscout in blue and red. The figure I'm looking at today is modeled after the Animated Series from the 90s.

The Figure

The figure is faithful to its source design. Big upper body, skinny legs and square jaw. All this is thanks to artist Bruce Timm. All the details you'd expect to be there is there. It looks like it jumped out of the TV show. While some might not like the look and the skinny legs make posing it a little harder compared to other figures. This is where a flight stand actually comes in handy, I mean he is Superman, he flies, he doesn't walk. That being said, I did managed to somewhat fix the unsupported standing of the figure by tightening the weak knees, ankle and hip joints of the figure. Thus it greatly aids in it standing on its own without any support.

So as you can see after applying some KIKI on the joints he stands just fine. Articulation is decent on the figure but still somewhat behind marvel legends, as Mcfarlane prioritizes sculpt over articulation. So there's the neck, shoulders, biceps, single elbows, ab crunch, hips, double knees, ankles and toe articulation.

Accessories

He comes with a trading card, stand, a bent I- beam and an extra pair of holding things hands. The punchy hands are already on him in the box.

Conclusion

If you're going for this particular look and you're a fan of the old WB animated universe. Then this is a good figure. If you're looking for the definitive classic Superman this is not it. if the skinny legs bother you then this is not for you. But if you are looking for the Superman that smacked Darkseid like a rag doll at the end of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. This is definitely your guy. I personally love this version and I give it a 8.5/10
