WASPINATOR - The character that always got bullied in Beast Wars, due to in no small part of him being simple minded. But there was something about the character that grew on me. From being a comic relief to be totally possessed by Starscream's ghost and gaining amazing aerial combat skills. He was probably one of the best characters in Beast Wars and one of my favorites.

The Box

Typical deluxe class box from the kingdom line with artwork of the character and the Kingdom logo and a window showing the figure inside.

Robot Mode

This is a fun little thing to mess with. Details are sharp and the robot mode is well represented here. Poseability is pretty good too. now I've stopped buying transformers for a long time and only recently revisited the line. I gotta say the engineering here is pretty good, my only gripe with the new era of transformers is how they have shrunk and the price has gone up quite a bit. Waspinator here is roughly the size of what would be the basic line back in the ancient days. Which is below the deluxe size. But I digress.

It's fun sized and if you are a scale nut, this will work well with the new scaling hasbro/takara are implementing.

The compound eyes detail on both the robot mode head and bug mode head are sharp and well painted.

Beast Mode

waspinator transforms into a......WASP. Yeah  know huge shocker there, I was totally surprised (lolz). Not much I can say about this mode. It looks good, don't get me wrong. But It's a wasp, not sure how much hype I can get out of a Wasp mode. But to its credit it is well put together, all the sharp details and paint job from robot more transferred over to the beast mode as well.

Accessories

Waspinator comes with ONE accessory. Not sure if you can even count it as that since it's part of his body and not actually a separate piece. His gun is part of his butt, so when the gun is in use, there is an empty section on his butt.

He does look badass holding it though :D

Conclusion

I enjoyed this little thing more than I initially expected. Fun to transform, details are sharp, very poseable and fun to whoosh around when you play with it. Only thing is the wings on mine were a bit loose out of the box, but that was an easy fix with some super glue to tighten the joints. If you want something not overly small and not overly big, Waspinator is a fun one to have. Wish it came with beam effects of something overall its a 7/10 for me.
