Marvel Universe Galactus - SDCC exclusive

 Toyline : Marvel Universe

By : Hasbro

Released : 2010

Price : Rm180 - in 2010

Galactus, survivor of a previous universe that ended. He bonded with that universe's version of eternity. In the 616 universe he is the devourer of worlds, wielder and source of the power cosmic and all round badass. When the Big G appears, you know something big will happen.

The Figure

Galactus stands at an imposing 19 inches tall. It is meant to be paired with the smaller Marvel universe figures to be "perfect". But I don't really mind and just smack him in the middle with my marvel legends ( hey, if it works). He has a mix of purple, blue and metallic light blue and a bit of black.

Accessories

Zip, zilch,nada, zero

Features

Galactus also has electronics. From light up eyes to a few phrases and sound effects that shows off how cosmically endowed he is. Basically everything he says makes him look like an all powerful badass, which he is.

Articulation

For a huge figure, articulation is actually pretty good. good movement on the neck, shoulders, bicep turn, double elbows, waist swivel, wrist swivel, double jointed knees and ankle articulation. Hip articulation is there but his "skirt" prevents his legs from moving to the front too much. Doesn't bother me much as I don't expect a being that can wipe out galaxies instantly to do spiderman acrobatics.

Conclusion

This figure is 12 years old and even with the impending release of the new bigger and badder HASLAB Galactus, it still holds its own. It was cheap back in 2010, getting it now is still possible but expect the price to be much much higher. For what it is, and Galactus being my fave cosmic character, it's a 10/10.
