I just got back from the flagging off, of the Merdeka Ramadan Convoy at the Information Dept. Office. It's an annual thing with the objective to showing solidarity and unity among the denizens of Malaysia while ushering in the month of Ramadan. Here are pics:
A collection of classic camera's that Vinnie brought during our sunday city photoshoot. They use films of course and using them takes a considerable amount of skill and finese which I lack hence why I stayed with Digital. Here they are:
Went for a little picture taking day today. Weena wanted to test out the full capabilities of her Nikkormat and I just tagged along and took pics wit my Lumix. From old forts to bronze canon's, to the canoe's on the Sarawak river. Take a look:

I found out about a bookfair that's selling 2nd hand books from a friends FB post. So I decided to go check it out. I love books and I love Sci-fi novels and I specifically love Star trek and Star Wars novels. And I found them In abundance at the bookfair. Alas I had to cut down on my selection as I did not want to blow my entire paycheck on 2nd hand books and eat grass for the rest of the month. But here they are:

King Kong action figure from the Alan Jackson movie. Not a bad figure and I got it on clearance so it was all good. Comes with a vine thing which he can hold on to, a mini figure of Naomi Watts and a giant ant (not pictured). A perfect substitute for a DCU Gorilla Grodd should you ever need one.

My 1st ever vinyl figure..I think. Was in the midst of cleaning up my figures from tons of accumulated dust, so I decided to do a size comparison while I was at it. It's around 18-19 inches tall and about the only thing taller than it in my collection is Fort Max. I think even Galactus is shorter. But here are pics Enjoy!!

Went for a drive to Sadong Jaya because Weena wanted to test out a 30 year old Nikkormat camera that her dad gave her. So we went and took pictures of the sights on our way there. Weena with her antique SLR and me with my Lumix FP-8. I was also exploring the features of my camera and played with settings and color. These are the results:

Was walking around during the weekend and we decided to explore the old part of my town. The journey became a very nostalgic one as I explored the old Cathay theater/cinema. Back in those days tickets were like 50 cents, then it went up to RM1 then RM2. Then came the era of multi screened Cineplexes and ticket prices shot up to RM11 - RM20. Right now the Old Cathay has been converted to a ware house wholesale budget shop thing (yes I really don't know what to call it) Times Like these I miss the good old days, also I went to visit the old BROOKE DOCKYARD's and visited the new section of the waterfront. Anyhoo here are the pics:
